Manhattan Condo Full-Gut Renovation

Midtown East, NYC:

From gloom to bloom

Before & After

In Midtown East, New York, this project consisted of a compact powder room, a spacious full bathroom, and a living room.
The completed living room featured specialized sliding doors, which could enclose the space into an office if required. Throughout the entire living area, Klaurup engineered hardwood flooring was installed, adding a sense of coziness and warmth to the previously dim corners of the apartment. These custom sliding doors were comprised of three panels, framed with hand-finished coffee wood veneer, and included Opal Acrylic inserts.

For the powder room, our team opted for a Solid Pine vanity with a rich coffee bean color finish. Above the vanity, we installed a Lanza Light featuring three etched opal glass elements that enhance its modern design. Additionally, we incorporated a Royal Basic 24-inch recessed medicine cabinet equipped with LED lighting, along with three rustic floating shelves to provide extra storage capacity. To maintain a cohesive look with the apartment’s overall aesthetic, we selected Lakewood Roble matte wood-look porcelain tiles for the flooring, complementing the hardwood flooring throughout the entire space. For the wall tiles, we chose Angela Harri Flatiron Aquamarine porcelain tiles, which added a touch of vibrancy to the room.

The owner wanted to have extra storage space in the primary bathroom. To address this, our designer opted for a Royal Lumos vanity which features adjustable glass shelves and integrated lighting with various color tones. Additionally, a 24-inch freestanding vanity with a Grey Carrara Marble top was selected to meet the client’s need for extra storage space. To enhance the bathroom’s illumination, we added a Replay light fixture equipped with six light ports and frosted glass shades. For the shower area, the walls were adorned with Maya stacked sky glass mosaic tiles, complemented by grey-rimmed hexagon penny tiles on the floor. In the dry areas, we installed Basic marble Bianco white porcelain tiles, elevating the bathroom’s overall visual appeal.
