gut renovation showcases perfectly how the right design elements can make for a
totally different environment!
Jeremy, the owner of Bean Monger Coffee, reached out to the chapter team with a
clear design vision for his new business but without knowing where to start. Having
a special love for adventure games, his intent was to build a space that would
resemble a tavern, cozy and inviting - perfect to sip your coffee and get lost in
comic books for a couple of hours.

From an outdated hair salon to a trendy coffee shop
Always excited to help set up new businesses, the chapter team immediately got to
work and started planning for this adorable local coffee shop. Due to the nature of
the business, a lot of the professional appliances installed required specific
plumbing and electrical adaptations which were not very aesthetically pleasing.
After some fun brainstorming sessions, the chapter team quickly suggested some
interior design solutions to make unwanted pipes and tubes disappear behind
beautiful paneling and help build this tavern feel the owner was so attached to
creating for his customers.
The majority of the work for this renovation was around planning, designing and
installing the custom pieces designed for this coffee shop. For each decor item
installed, such as the bar, one-of-a-kind floating shelves or sitting benches, the
chapter team delivered 3D model renderings for the client's approval.
Our two most favorite custom pieces are the rustic wooden bar complementing
beautifully the made-to-measure floating set of shelves which required a lot of
attention while securing the metallic structure from the ceiling. The little added
value to this special piece is the hidden LED strip illuminating the coffee bags on
display.
After a full month of work, Bean Monger Coffee was ready to open its doors and
